Omici Uwagbai is a recent graduate of Claflin University where she obtained her Bachelors of Science in Biology.  She is currently a Post-Baccalaureate student at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.  Omici’s involvement within the Carolina Women’s Care Study is to act as a liaison for CWCS and Claflin University.  As a liaison, Omici will be responsible for the recruitment of participants at Claflin University.  Additionally she will be assisting the nurse practitioner with participant visits at the Claflin study site as well as transporting collected samples to USC for processing.  Omici is excited to work on the study because she intends to continue her education in Public Health and her experience with the CWCS is giving her valuable insight into the field.
