She moved to South Carolina in 2006 to work with the Carolina Women’s Care Study. Julie currently works at the Thomson Student Health Center where she recruits freshman women for participation in the CWCS, collects study samples, and maintains participant documentation. Julie is the primary gynecologic caregiver for study participants during their entire enrollment in the CWCS. She not only sees study participants for their biannual appointments but as needed to manage any other gynecologic health issues that may arise. |

Previously, Julie worked in a private OB/GYN office in Ohio and has greatly enjoyed the change to the health center setting. “These women are at an exciting place in their lives where they are interested in learning about their bodies and forming healthy habits. It is refreshing to work with these young women in the CWCS.” |
